June 7th and I've been lax in my duties!!

Hellooooo  here I am exactly 47 days away from my big 50 and you can obviously tell I've been really horrible at posting to this blog.  NOT 'cause there aren't amazing things about turning 50,  just mainly 'cause..  I'm LAZY?!?!   but I've decided heck,  I can start anew and see if anyone else is even remotely interested in commenting on my posts?!?! 

So tonight is a Friday..  and the most amazing thing is that I'm gonna go hang with my dear friend Becky at the movies.  The best part of turning 50 is that I've had great friends around for almost the same amount of time!!  And just chattin' it up with them and randomly deciding to check out a flick is the norm..  

47 more days???  I think yesssssssssss

Reason #1 OLYMPICS !!

So here it is,  one my first benefits to being 50 years young..  I have had the opportunity see and celebrate over 12 Summer Olympics in my life!!  Every 4 years around my birthday I realize how awesome it is to SHOUT for my TEAM USA  (I think I was probably doing that when I was in Heaven before I got here).  

I love the Olympics,  it's a sign of success and culture and happiness in humanity with every country coming together.  I remember the Munich olympics and the terrorists.  I remember Nadia Comaneci (or however it's spelled !!)  and her perfect 10 NADIA DOES IT !!   

All in all I am so hyped for the Olympics to start every 4 years (and yes I also watch the Winter Olympics as well) and am totally excited about Brazil 2016,  who knows maybe my bucket list will be complete and I'll be there!!  Here's a video that totally celebrates the USA athletes, their youth and charisma  USA SWIMMING 2012 has got it going on !!!

And so the celebration begins.....

So here I am celebrating my 49th Birthday and I realize there's all this hype about turning 50!!!  I started to wonder, is there really anything good about turning 50??  So,  I decided I would spend the next year of my life trying to figure this out!!  I will try and post as often as possible those things that make me think about my 5 decade 1/2 century mark and hopefully you might have some comments that will add to the discussion!!!

This is the cake that Google sent me today with a message on my browser that says Happy Birthday Teri!!  I'm being cyberstalked by Google..  now THAT is strangely amazing and spooky at the same time !!
